
Course Objectives
The course aims to make participants confident users of Microsoft Windows, macOS, and the Microsoft 365 suite, which are key tools for remote success. It prepares individuals for roles such as virtual assistants, admin support, project coordinators, and client-facing professionals
Duration and Schedule:
The course has a duration of 4 months, with 2 sessions per week (3 hours per session), and offers optional weekend project clinics
Module Breakdown:
The course is structured into 13 modules, each focusing on specific skills: Final Project that simulates a remote client project in the learner's chosen specialisation track. These modules collectively prepare participants for practical remote work, encompassing technical proficiency, client interaction, and financial management.
Develops expertise in slide design, transitions, animations, embedding media, and delivering online presentations. The mini-project involves building a five-slide pitch deck.
Integrates the Microsoft 365 skills learned previously by simulating a remote client task using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, alongside best practices for remote communication and task delivery. It culminates in a Final Task where learners deliver a full simulated client project in a timed session.
Explores different types of remote work (freelancing, full-time, consulting, digital products), the global and African landscape of remote work, and crucial soft skills like self-motivation, time management, and communication.
Introduces a range of vital tools beyond Microsoft 365, including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail), scheduling tools (Calendly, Google Calendar), communication platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Slack, WhatsApp Business), project management tools (Trello, Notion, ClickUp), time tracking (Toggl, Clockify), and cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer). A practice task involves creating a digital workspace using these tools.
Offers a crucial opportunity for specialisation, allowing learners to choose one or two skill tracks from options such as Virtual Assistance, Digital Marketing Basics, Graphic Design & Canva, Writing & Content Creation, or WordPress & Website Management (Intro).
Guides learners on identifying their skills, monetising them, pitching services online (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook groups, cold emailing), and building a personal portfolio, contrasting freelancing, employment, and online business models.
Focuses on creating a compelling profile, networking strategies, positioning oneself online, utilising social proof (testimonials, portfolios), and using social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) to attract clients.
Covers essential professional aspects like writing winning proposals, interview and communication skills, client relationship management (onboarding, updates, invoicing, feedback), contracts, pricing services, and delivering professional, quality work.
Covers navigating interfaces, file systems, understanding system settings, installing/managing apps, and troubleshooting common issues. It includes a mini-task to organise a digital folder system for client files on both operating systems
Focuses on email account management, calendar management, task creation, contact organization, email etiquette, and folder rules. A mini-project involves scheduling a meeting and simulating professional email communication
Teaches formatting business documents, creating proposals, reports, and letters, using advanced layouts, and exporting documents. Its mini-project is creating a two-page proposal for a virtual job application.
Includes creating and formatting spreadsheets, basic formulas, data calculations, using tables, filters, and charts, and exporting reports. Learners complete a mini-project to create a budget tracker and data report.

One remote Virtual Assistant (VA) job (10–15 hours/week): This can lead to an estimated $250 – $500 per month.

Teacher Training
Fostering digital skills across Zimbabwe requires collaboration with educational institutions and teaching professionals to integrate coding education directly into school curricula. Our 2025 initiative launches a pioneering Teacher Development Programme partnering with three Harare government schools, equipping 60 educators with the skills to deliver digital literacy instruction to more than 1,000 pupils. Following successful implementation, we aim to collaborate with governmental authorities to establish a nationwide teacher training framework that brings computing education to every school throughout Zimbabwe.

Kids Coding Club
INSPIRING YOUNG MINDS THROUGH CODE Our UK coding club has seen remarkable success, offering young enthusiasts a gateway into the digital world through an engaging approach to learning. OUR IMPACT AND VISION Over a six-week period, eighteen students discovered the transformative potential of coding. Our focus extends beyond technical skill development to nurturing confidence and analytical thinking—capabilities essential for thriving in the 21st century. Through hands-on projects, participants learn to code whilst developing creative approaches to real-world challenges. We're now excited to expand our Kids Coding Club to Zimbabwe, where young participants—many using computers for the first time—will begin their coding journey by creating their very own computer games.
